Job Summary

Responsible for managing, planning, and organizing all claims handling and related business processes for Marine Claims

Job Responsibilities:



1.   Assisting VP Commercial Claims to manage the day to day operations of Marine claims, plan and organize team’s tasks and work processes and deploy resources

2.   Assisting VP Commercial Claims to develop action plans toward company’s objective and business direction.

3.   Monitor Marine claims case loads and plan adequate resources to meet Company service delivery standards.

4.   Review of Marine claim processes and recommend improvement to increase efficiency and productivity.

5.   Impart Marine claims technical knowledge to the Claims Handlers




1.            Preparing management reports and claims analysis for example                          monthly claims , large claims reports

2.            Monitoring and managing claims recoveries

3.            Supervise and influence staff to achieve team goals

4.            Ensure team provides customer satisfaction to external and internal                    customers






Degree in Insurance or other related lines


(i.e. insurance / accounting, etc.)




At least 5 years of managing various types of Marine claims experience on managerial capacity.

Working experience as loss adjuster  is an  added advantage


(i.e. language, IT software, etc.)

Knowledge of AS400, Merimen & MS office. Good command in English both spoken and written

·         Good Analytical skills



·         Good rapport with loss adjusters

·         Knowledge in Reinsurance is an added advantage
