Second Business Barometer of AXA Entreprises

For the second year, IPSOS, a global independent market research company, asked 500 French entrepreneurs with micro-businesses, SMEs and mid-cap companies about their current concerns, on behalf of AXA Entreprises. The outcome reveals they are more optimistic about their companies' economic situation (32% vs 26% in 2014) despite ongoing difficulties and a lack of recognition.

Recruiting qualified employees remains a challenge, and a priority, as 68% of the entrepreneurs interviewed forecast they will be conducting recruiting activities in the next three years (+6 points compared to 2014), but 72% mention a lack of qualified applicants.

With regards to their approach to the digital world, their presence on social media is advancing (+12% compared to 2014) and 36% made development of online offerings one of their main objectives (vs. 30% in 2014). On climate change, more than half of respondents said they are interested in the COP21 event, and 78% have already deployed environmental protection initiatives in their companies.
