From June 18th to 20th, 19 young researchers from around the world gather at AXA headquarters in Paris to sharpen their skills for bringing their work out into the world. All grant recipients of the AXA Research Fund, the participants will be challenged to communicate their science quickly, concisely, visually and metaphorically.
For the fifth edition of AXA's annual science popularization event, these researchers from France, Italy, Greece, Romania, Sweden, India, Cameroon, etc. are coached on good, effective science communication. Participants will then present their research to their peers, before facing the ultimate challenge: delivering a refined, streamlined version to the publicincluding a group of AXA executives.
You can join them online throughout the event via the hashtag #AXApopdays and follow the live tweet about their final presentations on June 20th at 11:30 am CEST.
This session will cover an array of research topics, from the risks of climate change to earthquake monitoring, species conservation, antibiotic development and mood disorders.
This initiative is part of the actions proposed during the Corporate Responsibility Week of the AXA Group. The time spent by employees to the Pop Days will be converted into euros and the sum will be donated to risk education projects supported by AXA Hearts in Action, AXA's corporate global volunteering program.
